100% Sangiovese
Gran Cavallo, both prestigious and pristine. Our 100 year old vines make this ruby red, medium bodied, quintessentially Italian Chianti DOCG. Earthy, dry notes come from the warm soils of Tuscany with great tannic qualities and a cherry finish. Saluti.
Region/Soil:
Sangiovese minimum, other typical Tuscan varieties. The climate is continental with mild influences of the Tyrrhenian sea.
Vinification:
The harvested and destemmed grapes have been vinified with 7/8 days of maceration in order to extract colour and structure. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are made in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature 25/27 °C
Wine Tasting Notes:
Dry and balanced on the palate. Harmonious, sapid flavour, slightly tannic.
