A wine highlighting the complexity and diversity of the Piedmonte region, Barbera is given the Asti appellation Superiore since it has been aged in oak casks/barrel for at least 14 months, and carries with it a deep mix of fruity and spicy notes in a full-bodied experience.

Region/Soil:

Monferrato - Hilly area between Asti and Alessandria, that extends to the Ligurian Apennines. Soils are calcareous clay, mixed with tufaceous and siliceous rocks.

Vinification:

Aged in oak casks or barrel for at least 14 months.

Wine Tasting Notes:

Deep red with violet highlights. Intense deep ruby color with matching highlights. The nose demonstrates violet, rich cherries, typical of the Barbera grape, spices, and balsamic hints. The palate fullbodied with a lasting finish.
